The History of CAMS Automotive Services

Hi, my name is Stephen Beatty and I am the owner of Collision and Mechanical Specialist (CAMS). We opened our doors for the first time on August 15, 1992.  

At a young age, I decided I wanted to own my own shop. Like a lot of kids back then I had a car that needed a lot of repairs. I did not have the money to fix it, so I started working at a friends uncle’s shop as a helper after school. Eventually, I became a full technician at some local shops and auto dealerships while I saved up money to open my own shop. After years of hard work and saving the time finally came to make the leap. 

Even with all my planning it was a scary and risky move that I wouldn’t have been able to do with out the AMAZING love and support of my wife, Laura. It wasn’t always easy but we always found a way to make it work. 

I love that everyday I get to help old and new friends keep their vehicles running safely! For most people a vehicle is their 2nd biggest investment and it is what you use to transport your loved ones. I take a lot of pride in the trust people have in CAMS to keep their vehicles operating safely.
